Description: The Robotics Summer Day Camp is for boys and girls in grades 3-8. Campers learn fundamental concepts and techniques to design and construct LEGO® Mindstorms™ robots. Then, they learn to use RoboLab™ software that introduces computer programming which will allow their robots to move and function independently! Through a series of hands-on activities, mini-competitions, and engaging discussions, they exercise their problem-solving & creativity skills in a fun & exciting environment. In addition, campers are informed of other current state-of-the-art robots and future careers in technology-related fields. No previous experience is necessary. Session Availability: Four sessions are offered between late June and late August. Some sessions are full-day 1-week sessions, while others are half-day 2-week sessions.
